知识点解析

• in the case of

大家看到in the case of ...这样的短语，都觉得非常好理解，case的意思为”事例、案例、情形”。整个短语意为”在…情形下，在…例子中”。如：

in the case of sick leave 
在病假的情况下

in the case of his health
就他的健康看来

• in that/this case

这是一组介词短语，表“在那样／这样的情形下”，比如新概念二册50课里，有这样的句子：

in that case, I prefer to stay on the bus.
既然如此（在那样的情形下），我愿意待在公车上。

• in case

然而，当in和case中间的词消失后，一切都变了～～
in case做连词，连接主句和从句，表”以防、万一、如果”。比如：

I have also sent you the book in case you need it.
我把书也寄给了你，万一你需要呢。

Bring a map in case you get lost.
带张地图，以防走丢。

• in case of

如果我们不想在in case后加句子，而想加名词呢。那我们就要用到in case of...这个结构。

Break the glass in case of fire.
万一着火，就敲碎玻璃。
