The Meaning of Life

Edward Perman Cole(爱德华.佩瑞曼.科尔) died in May. It was a Sunday afternoon and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky(天空万里无云).

It’s difficult to understand the sum of a person’s life. Some people would tell you it’s measured by the ones left behind, some believe that it can be measured in faith, some say by love, other folks say life has no meaning at all . . .

Me, I believe that you measure yourself by the people who measure themselves by you.

What I can tell you for sure is that by any measure, Edward Cole lived more in his last days on earth than most people manage to wring out of a lifetime. I know that when he died his eyes were closed and his heart was open . . .

If today were the last day of my life

For the past 33 years, I’ve looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure — these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important.

Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

About a year ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I had a scan at 7:30 in the morning, and it clearly showed a tumor on my pancreas. I didn’t even know what a pancreas was. The doctors told me this was almost certainly a type of cancer that is incurable, and that I should expect to live no longer than three to six months.

My doctor advised me to go home and get my affairs in order, which is doctor’s code for prepare to die. It means to try and tell your kids everything. You thought you’d have the next 10 years to tell them in just a few months. It means to make sure everything is buttoned up so that it will be as easy as possible for your family.

It means to say your goodbyes.

手动进行文档分类,就是将md文件放到_post文件夹下不同的categories文件夹下,hexo g的时候,还是能够生成的。但是如果使用hexo new命令来创建的话,还是没有找到自动放到对应categories文件夹的方法

4、如何将本地的文章进行分类管理

需求分析

刚开始在使用hexo写博客的时候发现,就是新建的文章都是在_posts目录中,现在写的东西少还好,到时如果多了的话,在本地就不好维护了,希望能够使用分类把本地的文章进行分类,就像下图中的java目录,我希望放Java相关的文章到这个目录。在线上展示的分类我们知道可以通过categoriestags进行分类展示。那么这个要怎么解决?
